What type of urgent care does Emancipet offer?
We offer urgent or emergency treatment (please call first) for female dogs and cats for:
- Pyometra - surgery to remove an infected uterus from a cat or dog
- Dystocia - medical assistance for a pet having a difficult/obstructed labor or delivery

Why should I do it & what does it do?
Pyometra is a life-threatening infection of the uterus, and Dystocia is a difficult or obstructed labor or delivery that can also result in loss of life for the mother and babies.
These are two life-threatening, but common emergencies that female dogs and cats can experience, and all our clinics offer emergency availability for these procedures.
The treatment for Pyometra is surgical removal of the infected uterus. The treatment for Dystocia is medical assistance to save the life of the mother dog or cat.
